Marque’, the M behind Cookies by M and the owner of Yo-Yo Yogurt, is one of 3 daughters born to a Swiss-Italian mom who could turn anything she cooked or baked into a gourmet meal or morsel. Not following that gourmet path Marque’ pursued a busy career in real estate finance sometimes dishonoring the family by even eating cereal for dinner. Flash forward to marriage and having 3 daughters of her own, Marque’ then decided it might be time to actually bake chocolate chip cookies of her own for her daughters and their friends. Starting with the basic toll house cookie recipe, somehow her cookies took on a life of their own resembling cookie dough balls with a unique size, shape and texture as well as delicious taste! Soon they became a favorite of both family and friends. Her cookies are also available at Yo Yo Yogurt and still very popular with the friends of her girls in many different schools throughout Sacramento. Known at St. Francis High School as ‘Molo Cookies’ they are a favorite treat request for birthdays. Cookies by M cookies have also traveled outside California to cookie fans in Chicago, Greece, and Italy as well as other parts of Southern California. Most recently, they have become favorites at Notre Dame in Indiana.
In October of 2011 while busily baking, and in the midst of her cookie business, an opportunity popped up and Marque’ decided to couple her love of cookies with her love of frozen yogurt and her favorite frozen yogurt store, Yo-Yo Yogurt buying the business in November of 2011. Since then she has learned lots about frozen yogurt and has continued baking and now showcasing and selling her cookies at Yo-Yo. Yo-Yo provides an avenue for not only selling cookies and amazing frozen yogurt but also helping schools and charities with fundraising and special events.
